Jay was a wonderful guy. He was level-headed, friendly and kind.

Life can be tricky sometimes. I've never thought that one day I would end up in RP showbiz as well. My first dream was to draw komiks. At 14, I started doing that and later, I also started writing scripts. While I was in university, Channel 2 hired me as scriptwriter for 7 TV shows in the mid 1970s. I was the writer of Alma Moreno's weekly drama Alindog, and Rosa Rosal's Ulila, Romnick's Peping ang munting Anghel, Bata, True Story, Señor Sto. Niño, and Snooky's Infinitus. Indeed, the world of Philippine Showbiz is quite small. The people you've known, I've known them as well. Maski ikaw, naalala kita sa ilang old films. Man, you're such a gifted child, an amazing actor (like Jay Ilagan). Your god-given talent. Btw, one of your colleagues in showbiz became my classmates in FEU. Perla Adea was classmate in Speech and Drama (Mass comm was my major), and I will always remember her as one of the sweetest girls I've ever known in my life. It's unfortunate that we've never met in 1970s.

It's rather nostalgic to be reading the things you've written in your blog. By the same token, it reminds us how fast time could come and go. Now you it, now you don't. Just like life. It's quite short, no matter how long you live.

But you're quite inspiring. The way you look at life and the way you accept things about life is quite palpable. I think you should write your life story. When you're done writing it, make sure you email me a copy and I'll read it. Hahaha. Tapos, I will give my feedback para may another pair of eyes to view it. I think it has some promise somewhere. After all, the child star Danilo Jurado was once upon a time, the favorite of many moviegoers.

Btw, is Armando de Guzman still alive? I think he was one of the Philippines' great film directors.

Well, then, Danny, I enjoyed reading your blog and I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world.

Kamusta TheCoolCanadian,

Ang anak ni Armando De Guzman ay nakasama ko a few years back, si Armando de Guzman Jr., we tried to finish a movie called "Buhay sa buhay" produced by one aspiring producer, Dr. Felix Cantal. Si Palito and a personality called "Bangkay" are the main characters. Unfortunately, due to unavoidable circumstance di natapos ito. Kung tama ang pagkaka-alala ko, two years ago, namayapa na na ang anak niya. As for Armando De Guzman Sr. di ko pa alam kung ano ang nangyari sa kanya.
